Starting Point Stables, Angier, North Carolina
We offer horse boarding and horseback riding lessons.
Our stable is located off Hwy 55 between Angier and Coats. Formerly known as "Barnes Paddock", we have recently changed our name to reflect a new business partnership and a slight change in our philosophies. We still offer horse boarding, riding lessons and horse / pony training.
Our riding lesson and horse training programs have their base in classical dressage, sports biomechanics and a workman-like understanding of how the horse behaves. We participate in various riding sports;
- working or sport-horse show arena disciplines (dressage, show hack and sport horse, jumping, working western)
- basics for riding 'out' (recreational, sport or competitive trail or endurance riding)
- general ground training (for general discipline and in hand showing).
Our horse boarding services cater to the horse owner who expects a standard, consistent level of care but does not expect or need excessive pampering. We offer full care, self care and pasture boarding to all breeds and riding disciplines (no stallions).
We are also interested in the Sport Pony and the Arabian Sport Horse industry. Though in its early years, our breeding program will be focused on half Arabian crosses. Our pony breeding will be Arabians crossed with Welsh Pony (registerable half arabian, half welsh and Welara if you so desire) or Arabian crossed with Shetland Pony (registerable half Arabian and half Shetland/National Show Pony). We currently have some youngstock ponies for sale.
Technically the farm is located in Angier, however we are closer to Coats and next to Barclaysville. We sugguest you us Google Maps to get directions. |
